This course is intended for Network Professionals including Designers, Implementers and Support Staff that are involved with the deployment of Cisco’s CRS Solution.

Prerrequisitos

  • Routing protocol configuration experience with BGP, IS-IS, and OSPF
  • Advanced knowledge of BGP multihomed, multi–autonomous system configurations
  • Strong knowledge of MPLS configuration
  • Multicast configuration experience
  • Advanced knowledge of Cisco Router security implementation, including AAA and TACAS

Objetivos del curso

  • List and describe the major features and benefits of a Cisco Systems CRS router and the Cisco IOS XR Software
  • Configure a CRS platform, back out configuration changes, and restore older versions of a configuration
  • Install Cisco IOS XR Software, package information envelopes (PIEs), and software maintenance updates (SMUs)
  • Understand the differences between the new Cisco IOS XR Software and the current Cisco IOS Software
  • Configure the new Cisco IOS XR Software security features
  • Configure routing protocols in a complex multi–autonomous system environment
  • Enable Multicast routing on Cisco IOS XR Software platforms
  • Configure Multiprotocol Label Switching (MPLS) on the Cisco IOS XR Software platform
  • Convert existing route map configurations using new Routing Policy Language (RPL)
  • Use the Craft Works Interface (CWI) to configure, view, and check configurations and obtain alarm status of CRS nodes
  • Troubleshoot basic CRS hardware and software problems

The review questions and lab exercises are intended to demonstrate the delegates ability to use the knowledge and skills gained during this course to perform measurable tasks.
