Objetivos do Curso
IP Security Fundamentals (IPSF) is a 3 day Fast Lane course designed to enhance the students knowledge on IT-security related topics in general. The course contents will provide the students with a deep and solid understanding of security considerations with the aim of being able to learn about security as a total and not as isolated single topics. Upon completing this course, the learner will be able to meet these overall objectives:
- Evaluate the need for different security measures and their effect
- Assess the correct usage of encryption techniques
- Understand the motivation of cybercriminals in depth and how to avoid getting targeted by them
- Understand certain types of network based attacks
- Understand the limitations of security devices like AV and IPS or firewall
- Understand the techniques used by cybercriminals to compromise even secure sys-tems
- Evaluate new technology (VoIP, smartphones…) with regard to their potential security lacks
- Understand the need and design of security policies
- Being able to keep up to date with the fast changing topics of information security through understanding the fundamental concepts behind network security
